Friday 5: Quotes

I’ve accumulated a little stash of good quotes or snippets in my Google Keep “second brain”, so I think I’ll share a few today!

1. I am arriving right on time to the person I’m becoming.” – From the Four Thousand Mondays newsletter

2. “Every storm runs out of rain.” – Maya Angelou

3. “Every disadvantage has its advantage.” – Ted Lasso Season 1. Ep 10. 🙂

4. “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?”– Satchel Page

5. “Some people get addicted to chain smoking their problems. They spend all day going from sorrow to sorrow. It doesn’t have to be that way. You can live each day going from joy to joy- like a sunflower that turns to face the sun as it moves across the sky. It’s not about having a problem-free life, but about focusing on the light. Sunflowers still have shadows, but they are always behind them.”– (I don’t know where I found this!! I absolutely love it, and I want to properly cite it! I’m sorry!)

Daily Gratitude: I am grateful, ironically, for a big thunderstorm right now. (Despite the sunny photo I just added!) It always feels appropriate and so on point when Good Friday weather is rainy or stormy.

  1. Since you shared a few quotes today, Kae, I assume your Google Keep “second brain” has at least 3 times as many quotes or snippets as you shared today.

    1. Hi Yukun! Yes, you’re right- I do have a bunch! It’s something I enjoy quite a bit. Once I have shared them on my blog, I archive them in Google Keep. (Otherwise, I worry I may forget which ones I’ve already shared, and might share them a second time! Haha!)

  2. Okay, Question 4 is really making me think. What an interesting question.

And #5 is soooo true. Love the image of chain smoking (not the smoking part itself, but the relatable imagery).
