Rosenborg Castle

Rosenborg Gardens:

Lunch at Nyhavn:

Amalienborg Palace (official Royal residence!):

Happiness Museum:

Asher’s and my post-it’s: Asher’s= “swimming” and “vacation”. Mine = “traveling with my husband and boys” and (not shown) “snuggles with my dog, Charlie” .

IKONO Copenhagen: (Note- this made for cool pics but was NOT worth the high price tag!!! 🤪 Oh well… win some, lose some…It made for some funny family memories, at least, mostly regarding us all laughing about what a rip-off it was! 😂)

Evening strolling + delicious ramen place!

Night cap at Old English Pub…. Obsessed with this place! I love it. So our vibe and they have amazing live music every night. Had to drag ourselves out at 11:30 pm.. wanted to stay!!

On way to pub at 10:20 pm, crazy how light it still is!!!!

  1. It is interesting that the light thing is so unique to you. I guess living in Berlin it is nothing I ever wondered about. I mean we are close to midsummer. I was sitting outside reading until 10pm yesterday and I could have probably gone a bit longer. It wasn’t dark yet.

    1. In Wisconsin we get rather long days in the summer, too, compared to areas south of us, but I think the latest the sun sets is maybe 8:30/9 pm even at the peak. The sun rises around 5 am. Having daylight at nearly 11 pm and then the sun up before 4 am again is definitely unique! The boys were like, whoa, it’s so late but feels like 6 pm!! 😅

  2. Daylight at 10:20 PM! I would be a night owl if we had that. One thing I loved about WI was that it got light earlier than I am used to, so I got extra long mornings.

Thanks for taking us along on your trip!

  3. it is so different experience the long days days of daylight. I believe it was August when I was there and it seems to never get fully dark. And in Iceland walking around at 10 pm it looked like it was noon.

  4. Once again this all looks amazing, and the weather- all those blue skies!!! Looks like you really lucked out. I CANNOT WAIT to hear details!

Also- I would love all that daylight. I’m shuddering a little to think how dark it must be in the winter though.
