My brain is kind of fried right now, not going to lie. I was up super late last night dealing with some fairly last minute gift purchasing (?- kind of…there’s a week left, but I just really want/need to be done with all gift buying for all people now!).
I am feeling some serious “gift buying fatigue” this year for some reason. Despite loving buying for others and gift giving in general, I sometimes find it really stressful and kind of overwhelming. More on this topic another day, because I don’t have the mental energy to explain right now. 🙂
On a fun note, check out this stack o’books that Asher got yesterday!! Holy cow. We picked up his surprise library package(s) and I can’t believe how many books they sent home with him!! Truly awesome. He followed Ethan’s idea of spreading them all out and rolling a dice to see which one to start with. Ethan is tearing through his stack from last week at a seriously impressive pace. Asher does not read “quite” as intensely and borderline obsessively as Ethan does, but he seemed pretty pumped to dive into these too.
Wisdom Wednesday- Two things to make you think today:
1. “Your outcomes are a lagging measure of your habits. Your net worth is a lagging measure of your financial habits. Your weight is a lagging measure of your eating habits. Your knowledge is a lagging measure of your learning habits. Your clutter is a lagging measure of your cleaning habits. You get what you repeat.”
– James Clear (http://jamesclear.com)
2. “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito. ” 🙂
Proof of completion of Day #3 of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge:
5 am yesterday morning…a 20 minute Beachbody stretching workout in my office, in the quiet and dark + Christmas lights! It was very nice. 🙂
Up today #4: family candlelight dinner on a Wednesday night! Looking forward to it. Chipotle crusted pork tenderloin, red potatoes and broccoli is on the menu.
I am grateful for furry, warm, cozy boots.
